たとえば、長引いている会議中に:

Hello everyone and welcome to another
Bizmates for Beginners video lesson

0:00:05.549,0:00:10.530
where every week, we introduce a new
idiom, phrase, or expression to help you

0:00:10.530,0:00:15.509
with your daily business conversation.
And this week everyone, we are going to

0:00:15.509,0:00:21.990
learn: "take five." So let's find out how to
use it and what it means, but first, as

0:00:21.990,0:00:27.930
always, let's do a quick review of last
week's class. Alright everyone

0:00:27.930,0:00:35.730
so imagine I ask you: Can you show me how to
use this program? And after you show me,

0:00:35.730,0:00:42.420
you ask me to try. So how do you say that
using the expression from last week?

0:00:42.420,0:00:46.600
You have five seconds okay? Are you ready?
Alright go!

0:00:50.460,0:00:53.140
Alright and time is up. If you said:

0:00:53.240,0:00:59.540
"Of course. Your turn." and then "give
it a shot" then that's exactly right.

0:00:59.550,0:01:03.899
Well done everyone and thank you for
remembering last week's class. Okay so

0:01:03.899,0:01:11.549
let's move on to: "take five." Now this is
what I sometimes hear - alright, so I am in

0:01:11.549,0:01:18.270
a very important meeting with, maybe my
colleagues, and with Taro. And Taro, he's

0:01:18.270,0:01:23.340
the meeting facilitator. He's the meeting
leader okay? And I said: You know, Taro,

0:01:23.340,0:01:29.040
this is a really long meeting. Maybe it's
been a few hours. It seems like everyone

0:01:29.040,0:01:35.220
is a bit tired. And of course, Taro, he's
very empathetic, he wants to make sure

0:01:35.220,0:01:42.090
everyone has enough energy. So he says:
You're right. Okay, everyone, let's take a

0:01:42.090,0:01:47.820
break. Okay very nice. It's very nice of
you, Taro, to give everyone a short break.

0:01:47.820,0:01:53.220
Now although this is fine, it's very simple,
you might hear a native English speaker

0:01:53.220,0:01:59.850
say something like this: You're right.
Okay, everyone, let's take five. Okay and

0:01:59.850,0:02:05.460
that means - as you guessed - "let's take a
short break" so maybe five minutes, okay?

0:02:05.460,0:02:11.039
So it could be take five... let's take ten...
Take 20... Okay? You can actually use any

0:02:11.039,0:02:15.870
number that you want, but if it's a short
break: "alright everyone, let's take five."

0:02:15.870,0:02:22.200
Okay? Alright so pronunciation, it's very
simple. Nothing special this week, it's as

0:02:22.200,0:02:28.180
you see it here, so please repeat after me:
Okay everyone, let's take five.

0:02:28.280,0:02:29.720
Your turn.

0:02:32.400,0:02:37.900
Okay very good.
And after my sentence here: Wow, this

0:02:37.980,0:02:41.440
is a really long meeting. Everyone seems
a bit tired.

0:02:45.320,0:02:46.880
Okay that's right.

0:02:46.980,0:02:52.140
So everyone, let's take five. Okay? Alright
so please remember this for your review

0:02:52.140,0:02:55.650
next week.
Okay our bonus question this week,

0:02:55.760,0:03:01.800
everyone, is another way to say:
"cannot remember." If you can remember, please

0:03:01.800,0:03:05.970
leave it in the comments below, but if
you can't, well you are in luck because

0:03:05.970,0:03:11.160
it is in one of our previous Bizmates
for Beginners video lessons, so take a

0:03:11.160,0:03:15.629
look if you've got the time.
Okay everyone, so that is it for me this week

0:03:15.629,0:03:20.220
thank you always for watching the video.
As always, have a great weekend, everyone

0:03:20.220,0:03:23.100
and I'll see you next Friday.
Thank you.
