Dive in の自然な使い方を動画で学ぶ
Hello everyone! Justin here and welcome
back to another Bizmates for Beginners
video lesson where every week we
introduced a new idiom, phrase, or
expression that you can use in your
daily business conversation. This week
everyone we are going to learn : Dive in.
Okay, so to find out what this means and
how to use it please stay tuned, but
first, everyone let's begin with a quick
review of last week's class.
All right, so imagine I say : So, what are
your resolutions for this year? All right
it's a fresh year, it's a new start, what
are your goals. Okay, now you imagine you want to say well, you just want to work
hard so you can make money. Alright, so
how do you say that using the expression
from last week. I'll give you five
seconds. Are you ready? Okay go! Alright
and time is up, if you said : Just work
hard so I can bring home the bacon. And
that's exactly right, well done! Thank you
for remembering last week's class, all
right, so let's move on to - Dive in. Now,
this is what I sometimes hear. Alright, so
I am back at the office I'm talking to
my good friend and colleague taro and we
have a new project. Okay so I say: Taro,
are you ready to start our next big
project? Taro says: I can't wait to
get started! All right, that's good I like
your spirit taro. All right, now this is
fine, however, you might hear a native
English speaker say something like this:
I can't wait to dive in. Alright, just to
jump into the new project, to get started,
to go 100% to dive in. Okay, so whenever
you are going to start something, okay,
you're going to dive in, alright. But
start not start slowly, you really want
to start strong. All right, start with
power, start with energy, you're going to
dive in, okay everyone. All right, so
pronunciation, it's as you see it here so
please repeat after me:
I can't wait to dive in!
Your turn! Good, after my question: So are
you ready to start our next big project?
-I can't wait to dive in! Alright, so
you can use this in a variety of
situations. Someone says: Are you ready to
start your lesson? - Yes, I can't wait to
dive in! Are you ready to start the class?
- Can't wait, let's dive in! Ok let's get
started, alright, our bonus question this
week is another way to say work harder.
If you know what the answer is, please
feel free to leave it in the comments
below. If you don't know what the answer
is, you can find it in one of our
previous Bizmates for Beginners video
lessons so take a look if you have the
time. Alright, and as always I will leave
the answer to last week's bonus question
in the information in the comments below.
Alright everyone, so that is it for me
this week. Have a great weekend everyone
and I'll see you next time take care!
