例えば、商談の席でお客様から、
“Can I get a discount?” 「割引はありますか？」
と聞かれ「たくさん買っていただけたら（値下げが可能ですよ）。」と回答したい場合、
あなたならどう言いますか？

知っている単語で伝えようとすると、

“If you buy many products.”
という表現が思い浮かぶかもしれません。

これでも意図は伝わりますが、あまりナチュラルな表現とはいえません。

こうしたシチュエーションでは、ぜひ”in bulk” をつかって、

“If you buy in bulk.”
と言うようにしましょう。

What does this mean? Well we will find out.

But first let's do our test.
OK so let's imagine that we are co-workers.

And I say, what happened to Danny in IT?
Where is he?

We had to let him go.

That's right. Not fired, but we say we had to let him go.

OK let窶冱 go on to today's word in bulk.
OK what does this mean?

Well let's imagine that Taro is a vendor or supplier.
He works for another company OK.

And I ask Taro, I say, well can I get a discount?
Yeah, can I get a discount?

You know, you're selling me your products.
Can I get a discount?

And he says, hmmm... if you buy many products.

Hmmm... this is OK, if you buy many products,
yeah I can give you a discount. It makes sense.

But it's a little bit unnatural,
if you buy many products.

So a more natural way to say this is like this.

So if I say to Taro, hey Taro can I get a discount?
He can say, if you buy in bulk.

Ah in bulk, I see. So I have to buy many products.
Yeah, we call that a bulk discount OK.
