Hello everyone welcome to another email
pics video. Today I'm going to write an

email announcement to everyone in my
department about an important reminder.

So our company works closely with our
office in the Philippines. And when you

work with colleagues in other countries
it's important to remember that they go

by a different calendar. So June in Japan
is a no-holiday month, which is pretty

sad... but in the Philippines, June has a
holiday. The 12th is Independence Day for

them. So some of us in our company will
need to think about rescheduling regular

meetings with our Filipino colleagues. So
I'm going to write an email announcement

to remind everyone about that. And in
this email, I'm going to represent my

company, so I need to write in a slightly
formal tone. But it's not sad news or

anything, so I do want to make my message sound a little cheerful. OK, so here goes.

Dear colleagues, This is a kind reminder
about an upcoming holiday in the

Philippines. June 12 (Monday) is
Independence Day and many of our

colleagues in the Philippines will be on
holiday. Please schedule or reschedule

meetings accordingly and let's celebrate
Independence Day together!

Product development Kyota Ko
OK so I started out my email with a very common

phrase: "This is a kind reminder" and I
told everyone about Independence Day in

the Philippines. Then, I used a very
convenient word: "accordingly." "Please

schedule or reschedule meetings
accordingly" means schedule or reschedule

as you need.
And finally I ended my email with a more

casual feel. I wrote:
"let's celebrate Independence Day

together" because, well, it's a happy day.
It's a positive day. OK, so I'm going to

send this email out to everyone and I
hope my colleagues in the Philippines

will have a good time with their friends
and families on that holiday. All right so

that's it for today. Thank you for
watching and see you next time.
